Chris Roberts

Chris RobertsChris spent 16 years as COO and CIO at a major global law firm and a global Life assurance company. As a commercially focused IT professional, Chris’s expertise lay in the use of technology and leading change to improve business efficiency and customer service.

Chris qualified as a Coach in 2005 and has been coaching leaders through change since then. He coaches high potential leaders, both individuals and teams, in a range of professional services and IT organisations and won a legal industry Award with Mike Taylor and Simmons & Simmons in 2008. Chris is adept at coaching through a range of technologies and creating the right environment for learning and development and changes in behaviour to take place.

He has an interest in blending sports and business coaching and delivers new coach intake programmes for British Triathlon as it develops as a “sport for all”. He coaches adult and youth athletes to compete at an elite level while still competing himself. In 2009 he was awarded the British Triathlon South East Coach of the Year.

Chris recently became an Executive UK Board member of EMCC. As Director of Conference and Events, he is actively involved in the continuous professional development of Coaches and of the coaching profession. He is also one of the first group of 15 Coaches in Europe to achieve EMCC’s European Individual Accreditation, as a Senior Practitioner.

Mike Taylor

Mike TaylorMike has 15 years Board / Executive Committee experience and a track record in business transformation, growing profits and operational delivery sustainably across four different financial services markets in UK and mainland Europe.

He is well versed in Mergers and Acquisitions (ranging from sourcing and evaluation to full operational implementation), in start up and rapidly growing businesses and in delivering transformational change to meet market circumstances. As a senior executive, he developed a reputation as a highly effective Coach-Leader, building successful teams and personally developing many senior and junior leaders to help achieve their business goals and potential.

Since 2005, Mike has worked with a range of UK / mainland European Directors, function Heads and leaders in blue chip Financial and Professional Services firms. In 2008 he won the Legal Education & Training Group Award for "Best Learning and Development Programme for Non-Lawyers 2008" together with colleague Chris Roberts and Simmons & Simmons. And in April 2009, he became one of the first group of 15 Coaches in Europe to achieve EMCC’s European Individual Accreditation, as a Senior Practitioner.

Mike is a qualified Coach, Banker and Treasurer and is an Executive UK Board Member and Finance Director of the European coaching industry body, EMCC.

Marina Dieck

Marina DieckMarina held international Human Resource management positions for 14 years in the ever changing IT sector - latterly as HR Director of Microsoft UK.

She played an integral role during rapid growth and expansion and contraction phases in these organisations - contributing to business strategy, revenue generation and operational effectiveness.

Since 1994, Marina has coached and advised senior executives, managers, and professionals across IT and Telecoms, Banking, Pharmaceutical, Construction and the Public Sector on strategic planning, building high performance teams, developing leadership skills and planning organisational change. With her pragmatic approach, she works with individuals and teams to help them resolve challenging business and personal issues, while remaining focused on results and outcomes.

A qualified Coach Supervisor, Marina is committed to developing the professionalism of coaching and has held active roles in EMCC since 2000, including Chair of European Standards.  She is also one of the founders of the European Quality Award (EQA) for Coach Training Organisations and is Chair of the EQA Panel.

In April 2009 she was also one of the first group of 15 Coaches in Europe to achieve EMCC’s European Individual Accreditation, as a Master Practitioner.

Susan O’Brien

people-_Suso_OBrienSusan’s commercial background includes nearly 20 years director / senior executive level in marketing and branding at Sky and Virgin Media plus consultancy roles for Vodafone Group, Astro Malaysia, Sky Italia and Project Kangaroo (an online video-on-demand service with the major UK broadcasters) and LOVEFiLM.

She specialises in coaching media clients and senior women in business. Susan has first-hand experience of what it takes to hold positions of responsibility and leadership successfully, giving her business and behavioural experience at senior executive level.

Susan is a self-motivated individual whose enthusiasm and ‘can-do’ spirit inspires and energises those who work with her. She coaches directors, senior managers, teams and individuals to unlock their potential, identify and build on their existing strengths and raise their game, leading to improved performance levels.

Susan is a keen sportswoman who enjoys competing in long-distance running and cycling and recently completed her first duathlon. She embraces the link between physical fitness and clarity of being and her commitment to personal fitness is an integral part of her practice of self-improvement and tapping into inner potential.

Susan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and is a member of the Marketing Society and the Institute of Directors.  A qualified Coach-Mentor, she recently completed a Transactional Analysis (TA) programme at the University of Oxford. And with an active interest in supporting the Coaching Profession’s development, Susan is the Director of Marketing and Executive Board member for EMCC UK.
